I have
examined the known pseudo-minimal
triangulations and
some randomly generated pseudo-minimal
triangulations. Some observations are given in the note
"Examples
of Pseudo-minimal Triangulations" (pdf,
ps).
Examples include:
The smallest triangulations
which are not equivalent under diagonal flips (occuring in S3
and N4).
The smallest noncomplete frozen
triangulations (occuring in S3
and N5).
The smallest nonfrozen
isolated triangulations (occuring in S3
and N6).
The possibly smallest
nonminimal isolated triangulations (occuring in S4
and N7).
