Pseudo-minimal Triangulations of Surfaces

I have examined the known pseudo-minimal triangulations and some randomly generated pseudo-minimal triangulations. Some observations are given in the note "Examples of Pseudo-minimal Triangulations" (pdf, ps).

Examples include:

The smallest triangulations which are not equivalent under diagonal flips (occuring in S₃ and N₄).
The smallest noncomplete frozen triangulations (occuring in S₃ and N₅).
The smallest nonfrozen isolated triangulations (occuring in S₃ and N₆).
The possibly smallest nonminimal isolated triangulations (occuring in S₄ and N₇).
